Abstract

766,806. Laminated materials. BURGESS, D. C. Nov. 24, 1954 [Nov. 24, 1953], No. 32639/53. Class 140. A structural laminate comprises two panels secured to a " honeycomb " separator of fibrous material such as papiermache having hollow sloping- sided projections oppositely directed from a medial plane, the apex end of each projection being adapted for mechanical inter-engagement with the panels to effect relative location of the separator and panels in addition to the means securing them together. The projections 3, Fig. 2, may have flat apex ends 4, 5 adhesively secured in recesses in plaster boards 1, 2 or (Fig. 3) may have their apex ends recessed to receive depressions pressed in metal sheets 8, 9 to which they are secured by counter-sunk rivets.
