In a continuous mill for rolling wire &c. the guides between the stands are mounted on a truck 3 which is movable on rails 7 in a direction parallel to the roll axes to facilitate dismantling of the roll fittings such as entry or exit guides 1 which are rigidly connected with the roll frame. The truck may carry a twisting stand 6 with twisting rolls 8 followed by a twisting guide 5 and is locked in position by a clamp 4.
