Abstract

759,111. Valves. GARRETT CORPORATION. Sept. 1, 1954 [Oct. 30, 1953], No. 26381/64. Class 135. A valve for a pipe-line comprises a disc 33 rotatable by a shaft 30 welded thereto and operated by a lever 31, and disposed within a flexible metal ring 45 having a diameter less than that of the disc. In a modification, suitable for fluid pressures up to 3000 p.s.i., the shaft 30 is mounted in ball-thrust bearings.
