Abstract
756,831. Dynamo - electric machines. MILLET, R. Nov. 23, 1954 [Nov. 23, 1953], No. 33951/54. Class 35. A stator annular core comprises similar sectors 13 of stacks of laminations and the number of stacks is equal to that of the coils 12 which are wedged between two adjacent stacks (viz. one coil between two stacks), each stack being secured by a retaining stirrup member. Fig. 3 shows the sector 13 with its laminations held together by a stirrup having an axial part 18 engaging at its ends two radial parts 33, while in Fig. 4 the stirrup consists of a rectangularly-shaped member 24 arranged to flank completely the similarly-shaped coil 12, and to clamp the corresponding sector 13. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, the outer axial side of the coil 12 is positioned in a slot 22 provided in the frame 1, while the inner axial side is located in the slots formed by the adjacent teeth 19. In a modification, shown in Fig. 7, the stacks 13 are asymmetrical and held together by U-shaped members 36. In this arrangement the outer sides of the coils 12 instead of being accommodated in the frame slots 22 are received in slots 31 formed at the outer periphery of the stacks 13.
