Abstract
754,371. Brassieres. SPIESSHOFER, F., BRAUN, C., and BRAUN, H., [trading as SPIESSHOFER & BRAUN EXPORTGES.]. May 6, 1954 [Oct. 20, 1953; Nov. 11, 1953], No. 13175/54. Class 141. A brassiere is provided with elastic inserts, consisting of at least one layer of non-covered foam rubber encased by at least one layer of elastic fabric, which are located underneath the breast cups. The rubber layer and the fabric encasing it are connected by stitched seams 10, Fig. 1, which compress the rubber. The inserts 3, 4 extend downwardly from the breast cups 1, 2 and are connected with the lower edges of the breast cups and with the non-elastic centre portion 5 and lateral portions 6, 7. In another form, Fig. 4, the breast cups 1, 2 are connected by a middle portion 5 made of elastic satin, the lower portion of which is turned inwardly to form a pocket into which a foam rubber strip is inserted and stitched thereto at 10.
