Abstract

815,700. Brassieres. GALBLINE, S. A. Aug. 23, 1957 [Sept. 8, 1956], No. 26714/57. Class 141 A brassiere frame 2 comprising arcuate members 6 extending around the lower edges of the breast cups 3 is formed of strip material of cross-section as in Fig. 3, having a convex surface 8 nearer the wearer's body and an outer concave surface 9. In a modification, Fig. 4, inserts 12 are located in the recess formed by the surface 9 to provide greater rigidity in certain parts; alternatively the upper edge 10 may be thickened as in Fig. 5 (not shown). The frame is preferably covered with fabric. The two frame members 6 may be independent or connected by a central portion 7 and are provided with eyelets 5 for attachment to the brassiere.
