Classes 68(1) and 85 The boring or digging tool, e.g. a grab 3, of an earth-boring installation is, when clear of a borehole, moved between two mutually inclined positions, i.e. a position in alignment with the borehole and a position where the contents of the tool may be discharged, on a semi-cylindrical guide cradle 21, that is pivotally supported from a boom 2 and swung relatively to said boom by an hydraulically, mechanically or electrically actuated linkage 34, 37. The cradle is aligned with the borehole by engaging a member 39 secured to a boring tube 15 positioned in the borehole. On the tool are provided guide fins 24.
