752,437. Rotary engines or pumps NORTHEY ROTARY COMPRESSORS, Ltd. Oct. 20, 1954 [Dec. 3, 1953], No. 30185/54. Class 110(2) A rotary pump or engine has an inlet passage 16 divided into two ports by a baffle 19 so that fluid entering each working chamber is directed in the direction of rotor travel in that part of the chamber. The ports are so arranged that both arenever completely closed at the same time. The rotors 12, 13 are axially floating on their shafts 14, 15 which may be as shown or polygonal, circular with flats, non-circular or the like in cross-section. The pump is water-cooled.
