Abstract
749,848. Junction-boxes. FERRANTTI, Ltd. Sept. 7, 1954 [July 30, 1953], No. 21120/53. Class 38 (1). A terminal box 10 is secured to the flange 13 of a transformer of a certain rating by one flanged and apertured face 11, the opposite face 21 also being flanged and apertured to correspond to a transformer of a different rating and terminal spacing, so that when the transformer is changed the terminal box is retained but its position reversed so that the face 21 is now clamped against the transformer of different rating. The face 31 of the box is apertured at 33 and a cable box 32 is secured to the box by studs 34 which are unscrewed before the terminal box is reversed, and screwed back again to secure the cable box to the terminal box again when the latter is in its new position. The connections between the cables and the transformer terminals are made by flexible links 43. The aperture not in use is blanked off by a plate 27 or 17 and a gasket 28 or 18, and an inspection cover 42 is provided on the face 41.
