In a reversible vehicle seat comprising a top frame 1 carrying the seats and a subframe 2 fixed to the floor so that an arm-rest 14 abuts the wall 15, upon rotation, the frame 1 first pivots on a pin 6 located near the front or back edge so that a second pin 7 rides along a straight or arcuate slot 4, the frame then pivots on pin 7 and the pin 6 rides along arcuate slot 5 and then the frame again pivots on pin 6 so that the pin 7 moves back to its initial position and the other arm-rest abuts wall 15. Initial and final pivoting on pin 6 is ensured by providing straight parts 21, 20 at the ends of slot 5. Pins 6, 7 are carried on cross-member 18 of frame 1 and slots 4, 5 are formed in crossmember 19 of subframe 2. A lock 8 is provided.
