Abstract

774,772. Chairs. HAMILTON, E. F. Aug. 31, 1954 [Jan. 25, 1954], No. 25294/54. Classes 52 (3) and 52 (5). A collapsible chair has a tubular metal backmember 10 of inverted U-shape providing rear legs 14, front legs 20 forming part of L- shaped tubing 22 which is connected to members 32 embracing legs 14 to be rotatable thereon and a seat 25 pivotally mounted on the chair back, so as to be foldable upwardly thereagainst, by means of a yoke 58 having fingers 59 pivotally received in openings in the back 10, the legs 20 which support the seat 25 in the erect position being foldable against the back gate-leg fashion so as to lie one upon another.
