Abstract

739,734. Towelling dispensers. AMERICAN LINEN SUPPLY CO. June 18, 1953 [Nov. 20, 1952], No. 16850/53. Class 18. In a dispenser for paper &c. towelling, of the type disclosed in Specification 723,355, in which the supply roll 30 is mounted in a swingable frame comprising arms 18 and 19 joined by a resilient metal strap 20, and mounted on pivots 22, the core 31 of the supply roll is supported at one end by a tubular plug 33 pivotally mounted on the arm 18. To support the other end of the supply roll, a plate 35 is rotatably supported by a pivot 36 on the arm 19 and is provided with a flat surface 35A which engages a portion of the end surface of the roll 30, and lugs 35B, 35E which engage in correspondingly shaped slots 36B, 36E, formed in the end of the roll 30 as disclosed in Specification 739,799. Alternative arrangements of the lugs and slots are described.
