Abstract

737,119. Pulse-generator circuits. CHAMBERS, D. Feb. 12, 1954 [Feb. 16, 1953], No. 4244/53. Class 40 (6). A pulse generator comprises a first blocking oscillator the output pulse from which is integrated and fed to trigger a second blocking oscillator from which the output is fed back to re-set the first blocking oscillator. The Figure shows a circuit for generating a pulse of variable duration in which a positive input pulse at lead 2 triggers a blocking oscillator comprising valve V1 the pulse at the control-grid 3 being fed via integrating circuit R1, C1 to trigger a second blocking oscillator comprising valve V2. The point at which valve V2 is triggered, and thus the output pulse duration, can be varied by adjustment of the bias control potentiometer 5 and the screen-grid of valve V2 is coupled to the control grid of valve V1 to terminate the pulse generated by valve V1 which is amplified in valve V3.
