736,426. Hydraulic shock-absorbers. WOODHEAD-MONROE, Ltd. Nov. 23, 1953 [Dec. 1, 1952], No. 30416/52. Class 108 (3). A metal sealing ring 30 is located in a recess open to one end of the piston 15 of an hydraulic shock absorber, and is retained by a member 29 carried by the piston-rod 16. The member 29 also serves to limit the deflection of a valve plate 26 controlling flow through ports 25 of the piston.
