Abstract
735,996. Injection-moulding machines. PRODUX CORPORATION. Oct. 20, 1953 No. 28913/53. Class 87 (2). An axially-movable sleeve valve 36 surrounds the nozzle 32 of a cylinder 25 within which works a screw 15. The valve.is apertured at 37 and 38, and in the position shown the aperture 37 establishes communication between a discharge conduit 33 in the valve and a passage 40 leading to one mould. When the valve is moved to the right, Fig. 1, by fluidpressure means 45, the aperture 37 is misaligned with 33 and 40 and the aperture 38 is aligned with conduit 34 in the nozzle and a passage 41 leading to another mould. More than two moulds may be thus alternatively supplied. The cylinder 25 is surrounded by a water-jacket 28 and is secured to the frame 12 by bolts 27.
