[Also in Groups XIII and XXVIII] In a steam-circulating device for use with a steam-heated heat-exchanger 4 and comprising an elbow-like inlet 5, water separator and steamimpelling means, and an elbowlike outlet 3 all arranged so that their centre lines lie on the U-shaped centre-line of the path of the steam, the steam-impelling means includes, or consists of, a rotating vaned or bladed impeller 7 which has its axis on that centre line and is driven by external power; the impeller also gives the steam and water mixture a rotary motion to assist water separation by centrifugal action. Stationary helical guides may also be provided in the chamber 6 to assist the centrifugal action. The chamber has a fresh steam inlet 1, which may be connected to an injector 2.
