[Also in Groups XXII and XXXIV] In a lubricated sealed ring spherical bearing, sealing washers 28 of rubber or synthetic resin, and retaining washers 29 are provided. The retaining washers are initially frusto-conical and, after assembling them against the sealing washers, they are pressed flat, causing them to be locked in the tapered bore 17, 18. The ends 12a, 12b of the head may be counterbored so as to receive sealing and retaining washers of larger diameter. These washers may be bonded together or altermatively a single washer of synthetic resin may be used.
