Abstract

956,828. Bearings. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG A.G. June 26, 1962 [June 30, 1961], No. 24560/62. Heading F2A. A plain bearing for a crankshaft of an I.C. engine for example, has a journal 1 with ridial oil holes 5 therein and has a half-bush 3 with radial holes 2 therein, each of which leads to a reservoir 4. The latter is connectable to the holes 5 of the journal and extends, in the direction of rotation of the journal, to a groove 6 which terminates in a pointed end, extends over a crank angle of approximately 30 degrees, and has a maximum width approximately oneseventh of the bearing width. The other halfbush has an annular oil-groove 7 therein. The holes 2 are in communication with a groove in the periphery of the part 3 to which lubricant is supplied.
