Abstract

730.204. Cathode-ray tubes. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Aug. 5, 1952 [Aug. 8, 1951], No. 19697/52. Class 39 (1). A perforated luminescent screen 14 is arranged near to a transparent electrode 13 which consists of a quartz or glass plate coated with a conducting substance and with secondary-electron emitting material. The end wall is secured to the metal part 1 of the tube by a welded ring 12. Brackets 15 hold the screen 14 and also the plate 13 by insulation 16. The electron beam scans the plate 13 through the holes in the plate 14. Dimensions and potentials are specified. Specification 720,315 is referred to.
