Abstract

721,006. Jewelled bearings. SEITZ, P. June 23, 1953 [March 5, 1953; April 11, 1953]. No. 17349/53. Class 12 (1). In a shock-absorbing bearing for watches comprising a through-stone 8 and an end stone 9 mounted in a collet 7 and held in position by a spring 12, the bearing is centred by a surface of revolution 14 forming the outer surface of the through-stone 8 and resting on a frusto-conical seat provided on a bearing support 4. The surface 14 may be frusto-conical or convex. In the latter case, the generating line preferably comprises an arc of a circle having its centre located on the axis of the bearing and in a transverse plane passing approximately through the portion of the through-stone having the minimum diameter.
