718,299. Spring frames for cycles. KAY, J. Nov. 5, 1952 [March 3, 1952], No. 5474/52. Class 136(3) In a cycle or motor-cycle frame the lower parts of the seat stays 13 telescope into the upper parts about one third of the way from the top of the seat stays. A portion of the lower part of each stay is of elliptical section. The telescopic movement is damped by a screw 17 passing through lugs 16 ir. the upper parts of the stays. Strengthening webs 14 are provided where the seat tube 11 and chain stays 12 join the journal 15 for the large sprocket.
