Abstract

715,626. Wrappers; packages. MOLINS. D. W., HARVEY, V. P., and MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. Aug. 25, 1952 [Aug. 27, 1951], No. 20192/51. Classes 94 (1) and (2) A composite blank for forming a blockshaped packet by folding around the contents, e.g. cigarettes, comprises a single layer of metal foil 1 and either a single portion or two separate portions, of paper 2A, 2B, which extend beyond the foil at 4 and are secured by adhesive to the foil at 3. When two separate portions of paper are used an exposed portion 1A of foil is left in the middle.of the blank. The blank is folded as shown into U-form, the exposed portions 4 providing paper-topaper adhesion at opposite narrow sides of the packet, and the foil being exposed at the bottom and top of the packet. Alternatively, Fig. 1 (not shown), a single portion of paper may be used instead of the two portions 2A, 2B.
