Abstract

714,328. Agricultural implements. LEWIS, W. D. M. Nov. 27, 1951 [Aug. 31, 1950], No. 21474/50. Class 6 (1). [Also in Group XXXI] Relates to a vehicle carrying a forwardly mounted implement. As shown, the invention is applied to an agricultural tractor carrying implements 1 for covering potatoes, the implements being mounted on a frame 2 having at each side links 3, 4, 5 connecting it to a link 6 pivotally supported by a frame 7 connected to the tractor. To the lower part of each frame 7 is connected a hydraulic jack 8, the piston rod 9 of which is connected to the link 6. Operation of the jacks causes the frame 2 to be raised or lowered. Pivotally mounted on the frame. 2 are levers carrying bobbins 10, the levers being rotated relative to the frame 2 by cranks 11 engaging nuts 12 on the levers.
