Abstract

713,715. Switch cases. ELECTRO-SNAP SWITCH & MFG:, CO. Aug. 5, 1952 [Aug. 25, 1951], No. 19643/52. Class 38(5) A hermetically-sealed switch housing 13 comprises a bushing 10 sealed in an aperture 12 in the housing wall and containing a radially and laterally expansible diaphragm 20 through which passes a stud 23 secured thereto by a nut 26. The latter also secures an external operating arm 26a, the stud being pivoted at 35 to the bushing 10. An arm 31, carrying a spring-pressed pin 32 adapted to be brought into engagement with the operating plunger 18 of the switch 17, is secured to the stud and is biased clockwise by a spring 34, so that downward pressure on arm 26a causes operation of the switch. The front wall of the,housing is secured beneath a rolled edge of the side walls.
