704,179. Spectacles. HARLEQUIN CORPORATION. June 21, 1951, No. 14776/51. Class 97(1) The lens rims of a spectacle frame are carried by and formed separately from a brow bar which is formed from a suitable sheet material. The frame shown has a brow bar 10 which has been stamped from stiff sheet metal and curves rearwardly at 10a, 10b for connection to temples 12, 14 by hinges 36, 38. Soldered at 40 to the brow bar are split lens rims 16, 18 which are also soldered to the nose pad arms 20 connected to the brow bar. Each rim may be closed by adjustable connectors 28, 30 through which passes a screw, each connector comprising a soldered cylindrical element.
