Abstract

703,635. Switch contacts; electromagnetic relays. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd. Feb. 8, 1952 [Feb. 9, 1951], No. 3246/51. Class 38(5) Contact bounce on impact, in an electromagnetic or other relay, of a contact spring 2 on a substantially rigid contact is reduced by a friction spring 4 secured to the spring 2, or to a part to which spring 2 is fixed, and bearing on spring 2 at 8 near the contact 3, the spring 4 being bent to form an elbow 9. The contact spring 2 may be similarly and oppositely bent to form an elbow 99, Fig. 2, and is secured to an armature 1 operable by a winding 18.
