Class 12(1) [Also in Group XXIV] Rotation of a bearing race with respect to a shaft or housing is yieldably restrained by a resilient ring of rubber or like material which is pressed into contact with the race ring by a spring. Applied to an outer race 15, Fig. 1, the ring 20 and spring 19 are disposed in a groove in a housing 10, a liner 9 being provided. The inner periphery of the ring 20 is cylindrical, and the outer periphery of wavy formation, the spring 19 being correspondingly shaped. Similarly, an inner race 16, Fig. 3, is engaged by a resilient ring 28 and spring 27 disposed in a groove 26 in a shaft 25.
