697,055. Extruding. SCHULER AKT.- GES., L. July 2, 1951 [July 18, 1950], No. 15628/51. Class 83 (iv). [Also in Group XXIV] In a metal extrusion press, of the kind having a clutch, brake, flywheel and a column body enclosing a hollow space with overhung driving parts including the flywheel 9 disposed externally of the column body, the clutch 7 and brake 8 are accommodated between the side walls 2, 3 of the column body. The flywheel is driven from an electric motor 30 and drives a ram 34 through shaft 6, gearing 31, 32 and crankshaft 33. A common operating device, mounted between the brake and clutch comprises a sliding sleeve 14, rocking levers 15, 16, and eccentrics 19, 20.
