Oct 16, 1950 [June 17, 1949], No. 25178/50. Class 135 A hydraulic jack, suitable for actuating the working tool of an agricultural machine, is controlled by a valve 11 which carries a pin 23 riding in a slot 24 in a sleeve 25 rotatable around the valve and connected to the piston of the jack by means of a forked lever 26, &c. When the manual control lever 22 is actuated, the valve will be given a longitudinal movement due to the co-operation of the pin 23 and the slot 24, the sleeve being held stationary at that moment by the jack piston. Pressure liquid is supplied by an engine-driven pump and will flow in at port 7 to one of the ports 16, 19 which lead to the two sides of the jack, and the liquid exhausting from the jack will flow in at the appropriate port 16 or 19 and out through port 13. The resulting movement of the jack will rotate sleeve 25 and, once again due to the co-operation of pin 23 and slot 24, the valve will be moved longitudinally towards the neutral position. Owing to the overlap on the lands of the valves, flow to the jack will cease and the latter will stop moving before the valve has been fully recentred, and the final recentering movement is given by a leaf spring 27 secured to the valve.
