Abstract

694,751. Distribution fuse board. HOLLANDER, J. M. Jan. 23, 1952 [Jan. 27, 1951], No. 2141/51. Class 38 (i). A distribution system comprises a casing 11 with access panels 12, 13 and an insulating bridge 16 to which are bolted members 25, each having a slot to receive bared portion of one of the sheathed rail-section bus-bars 21, 22, 23. Secured to each member 25 by a nut 26 is a stationary contact leaf 27 having secured to it a resilient contact leaf 29, both being enclosed in an insulating housing 30 with apertures 32. Each of three insulating movable elements 34 has attached to it a contact 33 which extends through an aperture 32 in the housing 30 and between the contacts 27, 29, the access panels engaging shoulders 39, 40 on the elements 34. When the panel 13 is removed the elements 34 can be slid back to disengage the contacts 33 from the contacts 27, 29. Each contact 33 and its corresponding feedline conductor 35 are interconnected by a fuse in a detachable fuse-holder 38. A support, Fig. 3 (not shown), for a neutral conductor or an additional bus-bar is provided.
