Abstract

1288139 Electrical panelboards SQUARE D CO 21 Dec 1970 [12 Jan 1970] 60578/70 Heading H1N An electrical panelboard comprises two connectors 35, 36 having terminals 46, 76 engageable by insertable terminals 38, 68 of respective circuit breakers 37, 66 which in turn are connected to bus-bars 26. The connectors, mounted in the housing 20, have a respective L- shaped terminal strip 44, 74 on which are mounted, at opposite ends, the jaw-contacts 46, 76 for the circuit breakers, and load terminals 48, 78. The connector 36 has a rotatable cam 91 for moving the circuit breaker 66 into and out of engagement with the bus-bar assembly, whilst connector 35 has a rack (60) engageable by a tool, for the same purpose, Fig. 5 (not shown), with regards circuit breaker 37.
