Abstract

A driving spring for timepiece mechanisms and the like has the following composition:-Co 20.0-45.0 per cent; Ni 20.0-35.0 per cent; Fe 10.0-25.0 per cent; Ti 1.0-5.0 per cent; Nb 1.0-5.0 per cent; the total content of Nb and Ti being 3.0-7.0 per cent. The alloy may also contain one or more of the followng elements:-Cr up to 20.0 per cent; W up to 10.0 per cent; Mo up to 10.0 per cent; Ta up to 5.0 per cent; Mn up to 3.0 per cent.
