690,047. Trueing grinding wheats; diamond tools. LADINSKY, W. May 31, 1950, No. 13658/50. Classes 60 and 124. A method of treating a surface, such as that of an abrasive wheel 7, consists. in applying to the surface a diamond having two faces interseeting to form a cutting-edge having an angle less than 90 degrees, one of the faces serving to smooth the surface and the cutting-edge being maintained by the wear of said face. A tool for carrying out the method has a diamond 2 mounted in a holder 1 by means of surrounding alloy filler 8. The lover part of the holder wears with the tool: the. upper part is filed away periodically until a safety limit line, marked on the tool, is reached.
