Abstract

689,204. Cartons. ROSE CONTAINERS, Ltd. July 5, 1951 [Sept. 14, 1950], No. 22575/50. Classes 18 and 66 A carton for liquids, powders, &c. comprises a tubular body having an upper closure in which portions 6 of tucked in sides 2 lying against the inside surface of side 3 are secured to that side 3 in the neighbourhood of a flange, while the upper portion of the remaining side 4 is formed with a score line 9 to facilitate outward buckling of the side 4 to form a pouring spout. Staples may be used to secure the portions 6 of sides 2 to side 3. A flap 8 may be formed on either of sides 3 or 4 for effecting the closure of the carton. The carton is preferably waterproofed by waxing.
