Abstract

636,897. Cartons; spouts. ROSE, A. G., KAY, J. A., and ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. May 16, 1947, No. 13218. [Classes 18 and 66] The longitudinal sealing flap 23 and an adjacent end closing flap 18 of a tubular carton are joined by a portion 24 which forms part of a pouring spout. End closing flaps 18, 19 are folded down, the portion 24 being folded at 26 to underlie the flap 18, and flaps 21, 22 are folded inwardly and secured. The flap 18 is cut and perforated and the flaps 21, 22 perforated as at 28, 29, 30 so that a triangular corner may be torn up to permit the unfolding of the portion 24 to form with a portion of the flap 18 the triangular spout.
