678,868. Electromagnetic relays. PYE, Ltd. May 23, 1951. [June 1, 1950] No. 13719/60. Class 38 (v). The armature 3 of relay is made of a U-shape strip of flexible magnetic material fixed to the pole piece 1 at one end. Its other end is adapted to be attracted by the pole piece to cause the engagement of contacts 4, 5. A rigid thicker strip 7 of magnetic material may extend round the strip 3 acting as a back stop for it, and also preventing saturation of the strip 3 before the contacts close.
