Abstract

678,778. Luggage-carriers. PAGET, Ltd., J. C., and PAGET, W. J. April 27, 1951 [Nov. 29. 1950]. No. 29281/50. Class 136(i) A holder for a bottle B is attached to a cycle and provided with a retaining member 5 movable to overlie a projection R on the bottle to restrain vertical movement of the latter. The bottle holder comprises U-shaped strips 2. 3 attached tc a metal ring 1 which has an outwardly directed lug 4. The retaining member 5 consists of a bell crank lever pivoted at 6 to the lug 4 and formed with a cam nose 7 which when the lever 5 is in the operative position overlies the projection R and also wedges the bottle B against the ring 1 to prevent rattling. The lever 5 is held in the operative position by a frictional pivot 6.
