Class 78 (i) [Also in Group VIII] A roller or drum for supporting a conveyer belt. which is driven or non-driven and is formed with integral longitudinal teeth which are advanced around the drum at the centre relatively to the ends, is characterised in that the grooves between the teeth increase in depth from the centre to the ends. As shown, the teeth 2 are tapered at the centre, Fig. 3, but have parallel sides 2b, Fig. 2, at the ends. The roller has a cavity 3 with a tapered wall.
