Abstract

673,598. High-tension switches. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Aug. 15, 1950. [Aug. 18, 1949] No. 20211/50. Class 38 (v). A high-tension circuit-breaker which may be of the air-blast type, comprises a plurality of series-connected "breaking" elements or points of interruption 9 ... 12 arranged in pairs on the top of insulators 2, 3, one of which supports the operating gear 6 of a disconnecting switch arm 14. Each pair of elements 9, 10 and 11, 12 is arranged in V-form on a supporting member ; the member 7 carrying the element 9, 10 being supported on a metal pipe 5 on the insulator 2 and the member 8 carrying the elements 11, 12 being supported on an insulator 4 above the gear 6 on the insulator 3. The switch arm 14 is operated by an insulating shaft 13 and co-operates with a fixed contact 16 on an insulator 15.
