Abstract

658,331. Handle fixings. KLEEN-E-ZE BRUSH CO., Ltd. July 12, 1949, No. 18819/48. '[Class 61(i)] A brush, mop or like , holder adapted to grip a frame of the brusl or mop comprise: a socket 12 for the handle terminat ing in a fixed jaw 14 and a movable jaw 21 formed at one end of a lever 19 pivotally mounted in the socket member by means of lugs 20. The rear end of the lever 19 is slotted at 22 to receive a lever operated cam member 27 adapted to engage the end of a leaf-spring 32 attached to the socket by a rivet 33. Rotation of the cam member 27 by its lever 26 causes the rear end of the lever 19 to be moved away from the socket member thereby closing the jaws 14, 21. The jaws 14, 21 are strengthened by ribs 30, 31.
