Abstract
654,423. Moulding hollow concrete articles. PEDERSHAAB MASKINFABRIK AKTIESELSKABET. March 9, 1948, No. 7243. Convention date, April 2, 1947. [Class 87 (ii)] In an apparatus for casting pipes and hollow concrete bodies the hollow core is vibrated by means of a rotating unbalanced mass having its centre of gravity at the median point of the core length and mounted in bearings supported by the core. A table 1, Fig. 1, supports an electric motor 25 and a plate 11 mounted on rubber blocks 19. A core is mounted on plate 11, an eccentrically weighted shaft 12 journalled in bearings 16 being rotated inside the core. The cast article may be withdrawn by being lifted off with the mould from the core or pulled downwardly or the casting resting on ring 22 may be pushed up out of the mould cavity, or the cores may be withdrawn.
