653,042. Perspective-drawing instruments. LORD, F. E. (Aktiebolaget Kontrollinstrument). Oct. 12, 1948, No. 26529. [Class 97 (iii)] A perspective drawing apparatus comprises two rulers 15, 16, formed by flexible elements capable of extension and retraction and hinged together at one end 17, their outer ends being pivoted at 31, 32 in fixtures mounted on extensible horizontal slides 11, 12 at opposite ends of the drawing board. The slides 11, 12 are preferably located behind the board and means are provided for locking them in adjusted position to the board. As shown, the rulers 15, 16 comprise flexible metal tapes mounted on rollers 13, 14 and means 28 may be provided for clamping one or both tapes in their extended position. Each ruler carries appropriate scales 19, 20 for perspective dimensions and a third ruler 18 is pivoted to the rulers 15, 16 at their common pivot 17 for drawing vertical lines. The knob 17 and clamps 23, 24 enable the rulers 15, 16, 18 to be locked in adjusted position. The perspective scales 19, 20 may be detachably mounted.
