Abstract

650,963. Sugar beet harvester. ANDERSEN, R. C. Dec. 31, 1947, No. 35402. [Class 6(iii)] A sugar beet harvester comprises a rotatable wheel drum into which beet are conveyed by a lifting share 13 wherein the half of the cylindrical part of the drum nearest the inthrow end is provided with circular rods 8 to form a lattice, the other half being open and arranged above a stationary arcuate grate 12. Beet fall from the latticed part on to the grate 12 where they are carried by adjustable fingers 11 to a shoot. A screen 18 prevents beet from falling out of the drum.
