Abstract

649,235. Toothed gearing. NORTHERN PATENT DEVELOPMENTS, Ltd., and BARTLETT, B. G. W. Nov. 26, 1948, No. 30771. [Class 80(i)] In gearing in which the drive is transmitted between an externally toothed sprocket 14 and an internally toothed annular floating gear 11 having circular teeth 12 for engagement by the sprocket teeth 13, the teeth 12 are arranged to fit closely between the sides of the sprocket teeth but to have a clearance from the roots thereof. The teeth 12 may comprise rollers 15 on pins 16, Fig. 3, supported in side walls 19 of the gear 11 which form shrouds for the teeth.
