Abstract

646,290. Building frameworks. WILLIAMS, G. W. Aug. 1, 1947, No. 21108. Convention date, Nov. 25, 1946. [Classes 20(ii) and 20(iv)] A wall frame unit comprises spaced parallel composite wood and metal members each consisting of a wooden batten 13, Fig. 1, secured between a pair of angle bars 12 and joined together by transverse angle members 14, 15. Openings may be left for windows, doors &c. and diagonal bracing members 22 may be provided. The members 14, 15 are secured to upper and lower wall plates 11, 10 respectively which support the ceiling and floor joists. Roof truss members each may be formed of a batten 30, Fig. 2, secured between two angle bars 26 which are secured to another angle bar 25 by struts 27, 28 and a plate 29 which rests on the upper wall plate 11.
