Abstract

[Class 38(v)] [Also in Group XXXII] A delay-action device (see Group XXXII) is adapted to control the ignition circuit of a model aeroplane. Normally-closed spring contacts 8, 9, connected in the ignition circuit and mounted on a closure plug 6 of a dashpot canister 1, co-operate with the underside of a pull knob 18 attached to a plunger 11 such that on release, the plunger moves inwardly of the canister slowly under spring pressure until a piston head 10 thereon enters an enlarged portion 17 to cause rapid movement of the plunger for the remainder of its stroke and separation of the contacts 8, 9.
