[Class 68 (i)] The push arms 9 of a bull-dozer assembly are pivotally secured to the chassis of an excavator of the drag line or clam shell type, the hoist and drag lines 5, 7 of which are detached from the scoop and reeved back over sheaves 18, 19 on the boom 23 to be secured to eyes 15 on the arms 9 so that the position of the blade can be regulated by hauling in on one or other of the cables. When it is desired to use the blade at the same time as the scoop, then it is supported from the boom by chains or cables instead of by the hoist and drag lines. Attachment of the blade to the push arms is by universal joints.
