Abstract

1359070 Jib cranes RICHIER 13 June 1972 [16 June 1971] 27465/72 Heading B8B [Also in Division E1] To allow of an excavator being used to lift objects there is provided on the excavator a winch, cable, pulley(s) and tackle block lifting system in which the winch 19 is permanently mounted on the dipper stick-supporting jib 8 of the excavator and the cable 20 passes to the tackle block 21 about one or more pulleys 23a, 23b mounted on either the jib or the dipperstick. The pulley or pulleys are preferably located on one or both sides of either the jib 8 or the dipper-stick 11 on one or the other of extensions of one of the pivots between the jib and the dipper-stick or the dipper-stick and the bucket 14 of the excavator, or about a pivot located in one of a number of positions, e.g. 10c, on the jib or dipper.
