[Class 64(iii)] '[Also in Group X] A vehicle heater comprises a casing 1 having an air inlet 2 or inlets and an air outlet 7 at opposite ends, a fan and motor unit 3, 4 arranged within the casing to cause air to flow in one direction only through it, and a number of curved waterheated tubes 8, 8a, each wound with a number of radially projecting wire loops, the tubes extending between headers 9 at the sides of the casing and some of them being staggered relatively to the others and presenting their concave faces to the direction of air flow. Each tube may be approximately V-shaped with a curved part connecting th arms of the V. The heater may be located under a seat in the vehicle, an opening at its side at the inlet end being connected to the external air, and its outlet end may be connected to a distributing trunk or open directly into the vehicle interior.
