Abstract

1,094,125. Ventilators. COLT VENTILA- ! TION & HEATING Ltd. May 26, 1965 [June 3, 1964], No. 23062/64. Heading F4V. A powered discharge ventilator comprises a rectangular section air flow passage 12 and an axial flow fan 20 running in the downstream end of a circular section shroud 25 which has a flared intake end cut away on four sides to be accommodated in the upstream end of the passage 12. The fan motor 18 is supported by arms 17 on substantially triangular plates 15 secured to the passage 12. A non-return shutter assembly 13 and a cowl 14 are provided. In operation an induced air flow passes between the passage 12 and the shroud 25. A rectangular section extension trunking 35 may be provided.
